The Hamburg Port Authority (HPA) strives to increase
the efficiency of the port as an important link in the supply chain. smartPORT logistics is synonymous for smart traffic and trade flow solutions in the Port of Hamburg, taking account of both economic and ecological aspects. A special focus of the project lies on infrastructure, traffic flows and trade flows.

The Port of Hamburg not only is Germany’s leading logistics hub, but it also is one of the largest continuous areas of industrial land in Germany and Northern Europe.
Though this offers vast economic potential, it also brings with it huge responsibilities. The innovative, economically and ecologically viable supply of energy is an important location advantage.
